Celebrate Life

“Light the Way” has come and gone, and what a terrific success the entire event proved to be! From the heavy lifting by our Board, to the energetic teens and Center volunteers serving that night, every detail came together beautifully. Most of all, we are deeply grateful for the incredible response from our generous donors and attendees. This year was an absolute delight, allowing us to experience the goodness of God in every aspect of the fundraising process.

Our pro-life community is a vibrant, diverse example of the Church in action. Celebrate Life is the culmination of our efforts to support pregnant women and young families. Thank you for being such a vital part of who we are!

Challenges to our Pro-life Mission

Fulfilling our pro-life mission in today's political climate is challenging, but we remain clear-eyed about the road ahead. Recently, Planned Parenthood launched a "Just in Case" program allowing women to obtain abortion pills for future use without a confirmed pregnancy. Similarly, sites like periodpills.org market these drugs to "bring on your period," explicitly encouraging women to avoid pregnancy tests to bypass the moral weight of an abortion decision. This promotion of moral ambiguity and unnecessary medical risk ultimately leads to coerced abortions.

Pregnancy is not a disease to be treated. True justice requires the acknowledgement that each and every life is sacred, has a God-created purpose, and has immeasurable value. Secular culture increasingly redefines taking vulnerable lives as "reproductive justice." As abortion advocates vow to continue their work post-Roe, we must stand firm against a culture that mislabels the destruction of life as justice.

Thank you for standing with us to shine a light in very dark places. We expose lies of the abortion industry by offering our programs to our community and inviting God’s presence into each interaction.

Walk For Life at the July 4th Parade

This year, we found the perfect way to boost our community presence by combining our annual Walk for Life with the 4th of July Parade! Over 70 walkers and client families joined our beautiful float, fueled by free burritos and baked goods before waving flags and handing out candy to the crowds. One father shared that it was one of the best activities his family has experienced together.

A huge thank you to our board for decorating the incredible float, Bernadette and Tom Navarrette for cooking burritos, and everyone who came out to celebrate life and our nation's birthday! Don't miss out. Please join us next year so we can go even bigger.

Our 3rd Annual Drive-In Movie Fundraiser on August 12th was an absolute blast, bringing together our wonderful BV locals and visiting tourists for a night under the stars.

We screened the summertime classic, Top Gun: Maverick. Between the gate entry and our concession stand, the generosity flowed faster than the butter on our popcorn.

A shout-out to our premier wingmen for the evening: REAL Brokers of Colorado and Canyon Title Company for sponsoring the night. We also owe a huge debt of gratitude to Cornerstone Church for loaning us their food truck, and the Groys for allowing us to rent the Comanche.

Thank you to everyone who came out, donated, and proved that BV truly has the best community around. See you at the movies next year!
