What a thrilling, energetic, and joy-filled day we shared! This year, our team was looking for an extra special way to boost our community presence, broaden our reach, and bring our supporters together in a fresh way. We found the absolute perfect solution: combining our annual Walk for Life with our city’s vibrant 4th of July Parade!
The result was nothing short of extraordinary. Standing side-by-side with our local community on Independence Day was an inspiring reminder of the freedom, hope, and life we are so blessed to celebrate every single day.
We want to extend our deepest appreciation to every single individual, family, volunteer, and coordinator who joined us, walked with us, and helped make this combined event an overwhelming success!
A Beautiful Sea of Smiles, Flags, and Unity
Seeing our supporters gather on parade morning was pure joy. Over 70 energetic walkers, dedicated volunteers, and treasured client families came out in full force to walk alongside our beautifully decorated parade float. The energy in the air was contagious right from the start!
Before stepping off onto the parade route, our group gathered to fuel up and connect over delicious, fresh burritos and an assortment of sweet baked goods. It was a wonderful time of fellowship, catching up with old friends, meeting new faces, and seeing our client families share in the excitement together.
Once the parade officially began, our vibrant team brought so much life and enthusiasm to the streets! From waving American flags high in the air to handing out sweet treats to the eager crowds lining the route, our participants represented our ministry with warmth, kindness, and big smiles. The enthusiastic cheers and warm waves we received from the community along the way made the entire experience unforgettable.
Special Words from Our Families
One of the highlights of the day was hearing directly from the families who walked alongside us. After the event, one father shared with us that participating in the parade with our group was one of the single best activities his family has experienced together all year.
